This weekend I watched Public Enemies. I was highly disappointed with the movie. I walked in expecting at least a John Dillinger version of The Untouchables. What I watched was a Michael Mann’s version of a gangster Titanic. In addition, what happened to the Lady in red? Is he a Texas fan and likes orange or just afraid of red?
Michael, next time you have Leelee Sobieski in a movie, can you please give her some screen time?
I liked the movie - but I don't think I would invest the time/money to see it again. That probably says alot about the depth of impression it actually made on me.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised too, when Sobieski showed up in such a "bit part". The last time I saw her in a movie, though, was some awful Jason Statham medieval/fantasy movie. I literally went to sleep in the theater and J had to wake me up during the final credits :)
Glad you liked it. My Mom and Dad thought it was great so I am the odd one out on this.
ReplyDeleteSobieski is in Night Train with Danny Glover, but I have not seen it yet. Seems it went to DVD before I knew it was out so not a good sign.
