"We have found Obama's Kryptonite."

If you missed this, it is worth a watch for a good laugh no matter what your political views are. Starts out slow but give it to the point where the woman introduces herself as " I am one of your middle class Americans" and watch it all. Enjoy!!!!!!

WIsh I skipped this one.

Many of you will disagree on what I thought of this movie. I was highly disappointed in The American. The only positive thing I can say is it had a chance to be great and it does have some great visuals of Italy.
I have read many reviews on the film and found this one by Rebbecca Murray to be my favorite.
"a wasted opportunity, a flat, uninspired production that doesn't go anywhere and doesn't tell an engaging or even logical story."

Quick Short Movie Reviews

At the Movies Now

It was fun ride but should have waited for the DVD.

A must see.

On DVD

Loads and Loads of laughs.

I was suprised at how much I liked this movie.

It was ok but only because I like Steve Carell and Tina Fey.

Moving

Well I was suppose to move today,a whole month early. My family and I agreed I need to get away from where I live now. My parents helped me pack since I not suppose to lift anything heavy just yet. The movers were to be at my house at 3. At 5 they called and said they could not come today. Glad I still have a month on my lease. They said they would be at the house first thing in the morning. Between the soreness I have from the fall and the fact I hate moving the conversation did not go well. Looks like I will be looking for a different mover.

It is like my life is turning in to the Richard Pryor movie "Moving" Hopefully I not the only one old enough to remember it.

5 Worst Sequels

I have not been out to the movies in a long time. The next movie I will see is Iron Man II. I am looking forward to it, but still always worry about how Hollywood can trick me into paying for garbage. They fooled me into seeing so many of them I lost count. Here are my top 5 worst sequels I confess to watching:

What 5 did you have to see?

Good Old Shoot Out Movie

Not many people I know enjoyed the Boondock Saints the way I did. I have been looking forward to second one and got to see it this weekend. It picks up in Ireland where the MacManus family is tricked into coming back to Boston over the brutal killing of a priest. It is a mindless movie with lots shoot em up fun.

As much as I was looking forward to the MacManus Brothers coming back for revenge, Julie Benz steals the movie as Special Agent Eunice Bloom.

The Dude

One of my all time favorite movies is the Coen Brother's The Big Lebowski. I don't know how I missed them on you tube but glad I saw them now. The first one has an Animal reference I once thought only an animal control officer would find funny. The second one is based on the small yet funny role of John Turturro as the great bowler Jesus Quintana. They are a must watch if you like the movie.

What was the First Movie to Scare You?

trick or treat by you.

As you know from my last post I am looking froward to the release of the DVD Trick or Treat. This picture alone makes me want to see the movie. I am not positive where my fascination with horror films comes from but I think it may come from mom. She does not like all the gory films of today but she never missed an episode of the Gothic Soap Opera Dark Shadows. Now I was an infant when this show was almost over but it must have sunk in.

dark-shadows by you.

Today I remembered the first movie to ever scare me. Believe it or not I was 4 years old and it was a low budget, made for TV movie called Gargoyles.

gargoyles4 by you.

So now I know Why I like this guys movies so much.

Bruce Campbell

In Gargoyles the voice alone scared the socks off of me as a kid. I have now learned the movie won an Emmy for award winning monster costumes. Below is a taste of the movie from YouTube. Yes it is cheesy, but by making this discovery today look at all the money I saved on therapy.

Would love to get comments as to what was the first movie to ever scare you???

Trick or Treat

Not to be mixed up with the 1986 title, Trick or Treat may finally be a recent horror movie worth seeing. About a year ago I saw a trailer for this and forgot all about it until my brother mentioned it was coming out next week. It is suppose to surpass all recent Horror films and not focus on a gore fest. The first time I looked at this trailer I found it creepy. In getting ready for the spirit of Halloween I hope it does the same to all of you.

http://trickrtreat-movie.warnerbros.com/

"Trick 'r Treat is a collection of creepy stories that mixes fun with fear, candy with poison, and laughter with screams. In the tradition of Creepshow and Tales From the Crypt comes four interwoven tales set on Halloween night: a high-school principal who moonlights as a vicious serial killer, a young virgin whose quest for that special someone takes a gruesome turn, a group of teens who carries out a cruel prank with disastrous consequences, and a cantankerous old man who battles a mischievous trick-or-treating demon."

Movie Weekend

With a few days off I had planned a few activities. For one reason or another I did none of them. I made it a movie marathon weekend. I did not choose wisely.

The Killing Room
The best of all the movies I watched. Slow start, but the best surprise ending I have seen in a longtime.

12 Rounds
Brought to us by WWE. I should have known better.Only made ten minutes of this one before turning off.

Fast and Furious.
Loads of fun. Sit back and relax and enjoy the ride. No need to have your mind on for this movie , but I did enjoy it. Loads of muscle cars and unbelievable car chases.

Angel of Death
Fooled by the cover. Made about twenty minutes of this one before turning off.

Push
Not sure how or why I watched all of this one.

Knowing
Seriously, what was I thinking when I got this one?

Midnight Movie
With this one I was wishing for a fun B movie. I was wrong.

I conclude I need to stay out of blockbuster for awhile and get a life.

New Trend for Motorcycle Riders

I came across this on a great webpage called geekologie.com. and had to share it.
How fun is it going to be the first time you see someone on the highway wearing this?

The Hurt Locker-Best movie of the Year

The Hurt Locker is the best movie I have seen in awhile. If you liked Saving Private Ryan and/or Band of Brothers you will like this movie.

Public Enemies Blah

This weekend I watched Public Enemies. I was highly disappointed with the movie. I walked in expecting at least a John Dillinger version of The Untouchables. What I watched was a Michael Mann’s version of a gangster Titanic. In addition, what happened to the Lady in red? Is he a Texas fan and likes orange or just afraid of red?

Michael, next time you have Leelee Sobieski in a movie, can you please give her some screen time?

Wonder Woman

If only this were true. With great comic movies such as Iron Man and Batman, Megan Fox could have added to the superhero movies. Well, we may never see her in this role, however one can't help but thank the photoshop work of www.wonder-who.com.

Particulary Good Taste

After seeing Terminator Salvation, I could not get over how bad the movie ended. Even bad movies can have good endings. If you love your dog you will love the ending to this Cult Classic A Boy and His Dog.

Just want some Dinner

Some days I just can't decided what to eat. I am glad I do not have to go through what these lions had to go through for a meal. For those of you that have told me you have not seen the clip, I have added it below. It is long but worth a watch. Just when you think it over, watch for the crocodile in the water.
